Carmel Corn

Same as always, teach class, kids to school, morning routine. I did do some laundry early, but that is because I did not go for a walk.

When I came back from teaching I made:

Carmel Corn

Pop 1 bag of microwave popcorn.

Put the popcorn in a large flat baking dish.

Remove all the kernels.

In another sauce pan put:

2 cups of brown sugar

1/2 cup corn syrup

2 sticks of butter

Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes.

Add:

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Pour the mixture over the popcorn and stir.

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes.

This is really yummy, but I only make it once a year as it is extremely fattening and I cannot stop eating it.

I made it as tomorrow is the school's Halloween parties and the girls need a snack to take. Then I made Pupusas for supper.

I worked awhile on things and was lazy afterwards. Maria took the four younger ones to church...nice to have teenage drivers.
